TOKYO 2020オリンピック表彰台プロジェクトの設計から製作管理（ 3D Design / Project Management / Design Direction / Detail Design ）までを担当した。
この表彰台は、P&Gジャパン合同会社から寄付された使用済みのボトルなどのリサイクルプラスチックによって作られている。このプロジェクトは、持続可能な社会を実現するさまざまな方法を世界に示すという目的を持ち、オリンピック・パラリンピック初の“市民参加型”の表彰台として製作された。
表彰台は、エンブレムのメッセージである「Unity in Diversity（多様性の中の団結）」を体現するデザインとなっており、立体的な市松模様が表現されている。
カラーは日本の伝統色である藍色で、日本を象徴する洗練された気品を表現している。
立体造形の製造は、このプロジェクトのために開発された12台の3Dプリンタによるもの。
また、表彰台に取り付けられているオリンピック・パラリンピックのシンボルマークに関しても、東日本大震災の被災地に提供された仮設住宅から再生されたアルミ廃材が使用されている。この取り組みにより、24.5トンもの回収されたプラスチックが活用され、同大会に必要な98台の表彰台ユニットを作り上げた。
また、表彰台をオリンピック・パラリンピックと共有するのは史上初の試みである。
The project team was in charge of the TOKYO 2020 Olympic podium project, from design to production management (3D Design / Project Management / Design Direction / Detail Design).
The podium is made from recycled plastic such as used bottles donated by The P&G Japan Limited. The project was the first ‘citizen-participatory’ podium for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with the aim of showing the world the various ways in which a sustainable society can be achieved.
The podium is designed to embody the emblem’s message of ‘Unity in Diversity’.
The podium feature a three-dimensional ”representation of the checkered emblem pattern“ ichimatsu moyo, a design in the traditional Japanese color of indigo blue that expresses the refined elegance and sophistication that exemplifies Japan.

The three-dimensional modeling was manufactured by 12 3D printers developed for the project.
The Olympic and Paralympic symbols on the podium are also made from scrap aluminum recycled from temporary housing provided to the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Through this initiative, 24.5 tonnes of recovered plastic was utilised to create the 98 podium units required for the Games.
It is also the first time in history that the podium has been shared with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
